Present Simple is used with vocal action verbs, such as acknowledge, advise, deny etc.

• I refuse to deal with that selfish boor.
• We suggest a visit to a gallery.
• I apologize for being impolite.
• He promises not to touch anything here.

The auxiliary “to do” in Present + particle “not” + main form of the verb is used to form negative sentences in the Present Simple Tense.

• They do not go to the disco.
• Pete does not take drugs.
• My TV is broken and does not want to turn on.
• She does not like that sort of music.
