Will the U.S. Break Up?
This is the title of article that I found in Media. For instance follow this link http://www.infowars.com/will-the-us-break-up/
Then I found the thoughts of Russian academic Igor Panarin, the dean of the Russian Foreign Ministry's academy for future diplomats.
It’s here http://online.wsj.com/article/SB123051100709638419.html
For me it’s kind of fairy tale, it’s very hard to believe, well I don’t but the idea is up the pole! Thus it’s interesting theme to discuss. First of all I’m craving for the opinion of our smart friend Rod.

My young friend nastycoolcat, predictions of Igor Panarin will come true, whether we like them or not!
Capitalism surely will be changed by socialism and we cannot change the history running. Such are the laws of social development, and attempt to change them is beating the wind. And Russia will return to socialism too. Please read the book “Capitalism in Russia does not meet!” by Michael Antonov.

Yes, it would be interesting to get Rod's opinion on this matter.
Rod
The one outlining Professor Panarin's doomesday predictions seemed, to this impartial observer, to be some sort of transparent anti-American Putinesque hype/wishful thinking to stoke the fires of Russian Supremacy and US damnation! Blame the US for world near-economic collapse! Why not whip the big boys? It's easy! We Russians could not share the blame, because our economy is too small and so we Russians are blameless!
Is the US rudderless and on the brink of irreversibly splitting apart? Does the US bail out of major banking institutions signal economic despair ? Are indicators of Dec 2008 valid today Sept 2009?
Let me tell you that US banking institutions have repaid almost all of the loaned money to the US Government and with abundant interest to boot! That to me does not sound like imminent collapse!
I would like to tell you a true story about US grit, about US determination against all odds to hold together, about US spirit and willpower and about US love for fellow Americans! It is a story which touches in some measure, most Americans alive today:
The story begins during The Great Depression of the thirties , which threatened to split America to the winds. People were jobless, people were starving and government seemed near collapse. I was born into a poor and hungry family in Maryland and there was too little food for the table. My father wrote to a wartime buddy who lived 600 miles away in the South and told him of his plight. The North Carolina farmer wrote back that his farm was abundant and that there was food to spare..he said come and bring the children and fatten their bellies! My parents and brothers and sisters, of whom I was the baby, moved for the summer to North Carolina and that spirit of US love for one another kept our family together and helped keep our great people and country unified! That spirit is alive and well today!
So nastycoolcat, I do not sense the imminent collapse of the American spirit, the American Union or the American government. I do sense a period of US indebtedness and a period of US reconstruction.
Whether capitalism in present day Russia can survive the unnatural stresses placed upon it by government and other forces, I can not predict! I suspect , though , that the moral strength and the indomitable spirit of the Russian people can make anything happen! Russians have amply demonstrated that! I believe that , just as in US , Russia's future lies in the hands of its great people..the people are where the real strength lies and where the real power rests!
But I am afraid, the time and people have changed.
I don't want to get deeper into political polemic and bring somebody over to my point of viev.
The more, I value our friendship, Rod, very much.
Some people condemn my opinion and reduced my rating for having my own point of view.
We'll have to wait and see!
Something like had happened to my mother's family long long ago.
It was in 1917 in the little Ukrainian town Gaisin. My mother was a 6 y.o. girl. That time the wave of Jewish pogroms rushed over Ukraine, and they didn’t pass Gaisin. The crowds of men went from one Jewish family to another one and killed all of them, women and children included, under motto: Kill the Jew – do rescue Russia!
Fortunately, one Ukrainian good people hid the family of my granddad, who was a teacher and taught the children, having cultivating in their minds reason, kindness and eternal values. They stealthily let the teacher with his wife and six daughters (my mother included) in the vault. The day later the Soviet power was established in Gaisin and the danger was over. I don’t know the name of those noble and brave Ukrainian people who, having a great risk, save the family of old Jewish teacher. But I remember that good deed for my all life long!
And I hope that the good will win the evil lastly. I want desperately the American and Russian nations to be genuine and sincere friends.
When the child is being brought into this world, its parents are trying to inculcate the good into its mind, wherever they live, in the US, Russia or some another state. We all were growing on the same values. That’s why I still hope for the best.
So great temptation is that a wise person being engaged in politics loses the rest of his common sense.
Two best friends starting politics inevitably become long-life enemies.
If I care about a person I dare not say a word of politics to him.
Our planet, our countries, cities, peoples - all had a beginning once. It's just a matter of common sense to admit that there should be the end sometimes.
I hope you'll find it interesting, the activities useful and the community pleasant, though not all its members are from English speaking countries.
